Timberview Alpacas, Clinton, IL

Come view the magic of the hummm!  That's right these sweet (and very soft) creatures hum when they are happy.  Elizabeth and Rick Lord have started a new herd right here in DeWitt County and are planning opportunities for visitors to share that magic. A new baby is due in October! The Alpacas are sheared in the spring and the fiber can be spun and woven into many beautiful items.  DCDC will report events as they are planned. For more info call (217) 935-8756 or email timberviewalpacas@hotmail.com

FNL GROUP OPENS DIRECT TV INSTALLATION SITE IN CLINTON

Between 30 and 50 installer jobs are now available for DeWitt County and the surrounding region. DeWitt County Development Council (DCDC) has been working with Phoenix-based FNL Group as the company brings their Direct TV Installation firm to the former Alexander Lumber site in Clinton.

This is great news for DeWitt County following the recent announcement that Alexander Lumber closed their doors on E. Clay. DCDC Executive Director, Ruth Stauffer stated, “Walter Alexander was happy to help Clinton replace those lost jobs and offered to lease the Clinton buildings to the FNL Group.”

The installer job description can be seen on Cable Channel 13 coordinated by the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau. Interested candidates should respond to bloomingtonadmin@fnlgroup.com with name, contact information, and a resume.  Please list "Illinois Job Posting" in the subject line or stop in the office at 401 E. Clay in Clinton.  A recruiter will be in contact if the qualifications match the needs of this position.
